چکیده

The phase behavior of the carbon dioxide + cycloheptane binary system for which no literature data are available has been examined at temperatures ranging from 292.6 to 372.8 K. Saturation pressures, 23.9 154.8 bar, were acquired by a synthetic and visual method. In concrete terms, an adjustable-volume high-pressure cell was utilized measure bubble dew point pressures detection transitions constant overall composition. A total 11 different mixtures with mole fractions 0.20 0.96 prepared, 99 experimental points reported. results obtained in this work reveal absence liquid–liquid immiscibility studied temperature range make it possible conclude that vapor–liquid critical line is continuous uninterrupted between two pure compounds. Experimental correlated Peng–Robinson equation state classical van der Waals mixing rules temperature-dependent interaction parameters. They also compared PPR78 model, entirely predictive group contribution method kij depends on temperature.

Phase Equilibrium of Binary System Carbon Dioxide - Methanol at High Pressure Using Artificial Neural Network

Interest in supercritical fluids extraction (SFE) is increasing throughout many scientific and industrial fields. The common solvent for use in SFE is carbon dioxide. However, pure carbon dioxide frequently fails to efficiently extract the essential oil from a sample matrix, and modifier fluids such as methanol should be used to enhance extraction yield. A more efficient use of SFE requires qua...

High-pressure polymeric phases of carbon dioxide.

Understanding the structural transformations of solid CO(2) from a molecular solid characterized by weak intermolecular bonding to a 3-dimensional network solid at high pressure has challenged researchers for the past decade. We employ the recently developed metadynamics method combined with ab initio calculations to provide fundamental insight into recent experimental reports on carbon dioxide...

Development of a high-pressure set-up for measurements of binary diffusion coefficients in supercritical carbon dioxide.

We present the development of a high-pressure apparatus for measurements of diffusion coefficients in supercritical fluids. The Taylor dispersion method has been adapted to conduct experiments at the pressures up to 25.0 MPa. In order to test the developed set-up, binary diffusion coefficients D at infinite dilution in supercritical carbon dioxide have been measured for a reference system, benz...

Prediction of Solubility of β-Carotene as a Component in a Multicomponent System in High-Pressure Carbon Dioxide

Solubility prediction of high molecular weight molecules in high-pressure solvents is an interesting field of research. Sometimes the solubility data are not available for several components due to lacking of valid equipments. Therefore, an accurate prediction technique can help the researchers. According to the literature, the simple Equations of State (EoSs) such as Soave-Redlich-Kwong (SRK),...
